As part of a Hungarian business delegation led by His Excellency Dr. László Szabó, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Kazal travelled to Jakarta and Bali to analyse the market opportunities for the product in Indonesia.
Indonesia with its estimated population of over 260 million people is the fourth most populous country in the world. Due its size and extremely developing economy, Indonesia is attracting investors being the 16th largest economy in the world by nominal GDP and the eigth largest in terms of GDP. Indonesia is a very important target market for Kazal due to extremely high number of private-owned kindergartens and pre-schools.
The official program started in Jakarta with the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Hungary's Revolution of 1956. The event was a great occasion for networking and to meet up Hungarians living and working in Indonesia.
Next day the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a business forum where different topics of the Hungarian and Indonesian economy, foreign trade and investment opportunities have been discussed. The program in Jakarta ended up with a dinner in the presence of His Excellency, the Deputy Minister and the Hungarian Ambassador based in Jakarta.
On 4 November 2016 the delegation headed towards the island of Bali where next day the oldest and most famous Hungarian wine region Tokaj was introduced in the local Hatten Winery in Sanur.
The session of B2B meetings started with Maya Arsanti, a local Balinese lawyer who helped several Hungarian start-up companies in acquiring the Indonesian market. The meeting was held together with the international business development managers of Grand Tokaj winery.
Ms. Arsanti is well-known of her connections and deep knowledge of the Indonesian administrative procedures therefore we find our future cooperation with her very promising.
Last but not least Kazal was presented to three private-owned schools in Bali. During these meetings we had the chance to discuss the potential opportunities of Kazal in Indonesia integrating our product and methodology into the Indonesian sport curriculum.
The schools visited in Bali are the followings:
Sekolah Petra Berkat
Location: Denpasar
375 kids
Nursery to high school
Gandhi Memorial International School - Bali
500 kids
Location: Denpasar
Nursery to high school
Denpasar Children Center
Location: Denpasar
200-200 kids (kindergarten and primary school, respectively)
Kindergarten és primary school
We do believe that our visit and its follow-up will end up in a pilot project in Indonesia which would be very beneficial for our future market expansion.
